SkyWatch Friday #4 Friday’s Rainbow and an Evening sky

Not a very clear shot but ..again a rainbow for Friday. Showering of rains still do in some places.

Hujan oo Hujan

The above title means "Rain Rain" in English..

Its been raining since the early day of New Year. People here would say its because the Chinese New Year celebration is around the corner that making the rain keeps on coming. Believe it or not, its just the regular saying in my place..
In general there are 2 seasons in Malaysia: Rainy-Season and Non-Rainy-Season. But as everywhere in the world, the climate is also changing here. That's why it is not easy to say, when exactly these seasons are. The climate is affected and determined by 2 monsoons: The North-East Monsoon from the South China Sea affects especially the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia in December until February and the South-West Monsoon, which brings rain during the months April/May and September/October or better: usually it brings rain!

Rain or not it will not prevent me from touching the water, may I mummy?..

A look outside my place giving me this peaceful scenery...............

Seedlings paddy in one corner

a flooding paddy field is on progress, some farmers are seen getting ready with the double cropping.. Frogs will be heard having congregation band providing us with a night cacophony also signals a food source for the farmers. Frogs meat taste like chicken meat so they said..this is not the regular frogs that you can see hopping. These frogs are called "Katak Taiwan" in my place or eatable frogs aka exotic food. In other places some eatable frogs like the American Bullfrog and the Tiger frog are bred for their meat and exported to other countries. During night time I can see flashes of torch hunting for these frogs..hey I'm getting all frogging here..

Outside on the other directions rain is again seen coming towards my place, this is a 'disaster' for tumbleweed if she happens to be on her way home from work hehe except that she is fortunate as today is Saturday..

After the rain....

Just wanna put this picture after the rain, few weeks ago.  There was an awesome rainbow that reminds me of chasing the rainbow by someone...who might that be? ...  Old folks do believe that somewhere by the end of the rainbow there are fairies.  Like the fairies on the Faraway Tree in Enid Blyton's book, my favourite author when I was small and still until now..The awesome rainbow didnt last for long, when the sunshine appeared it was gone, forming another sign somewhere in the world..Somewhere in the Bible stated "  "I do set my bow in the cloud, .... and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh" (Gen 9:13,15)The glory of God is likened to "the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain" (Ezek 1:28).  I was fortunate to to get this rainbow picture of my own..
